Today the Kids in Tune teachers shared their answers to the question “If you were stranded on a desert island, what music recording would you want to have with you?” From Coldplay to Wagner, we shared some beautiful pieces and discussed the reasons they are meaningful to us. Kids in Tune Spends a Day at WMU Seminar
On Thursday, we spent the day on the campus of Western Michigan University, vising Seminar — the WMU High School Music Camp.
We heard a great concert, watched an orchestra rehearsal, ate a giant lunch in the cafeteria :-), and learned about college life from members of the WMU Admissions staff

The Kids in Tune Young Leaders Chamber Orchestra — nine 6th and 7th graders in our summer program — performed Tuesday evening at the Kalamazoo Breakfast Optimists Right Start Auction at the Fetzer Center.
A letter from camp!
We’re delighted to have our first KIT student attending Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer. Imagine how happy we were to find a letter from camp in our mailbox yesterday, along with a drawing of the beautiful forests at Blue Lake:
